Best Restaurant POS for Pakistan and the GCC in 2026
RestroAI by Taiz · · 9 min read
Restaurant owners who work across Pakistan and the Gulf, or who are moving from one to the other, face two different markets. Pakistan is shaped by FBR, PRA and SRB invoicing. Saudi Arabia is shaped by ZATCA e-invoicing. This guide gives the criteria that matter and a fair look at the systems that serve one or both, including RestroAI by Taiz, which we make. We do not rank RestroAI first by default, and we say where it is behind: its tax and ZATCA integrations are not live yet. Vendor details come from each vendor's own site, are unverified, and were checked on 25 October 2026.
What changes between Pakistan and the Gulf
- Tax invoicing. In Pakistan, restaurants deal with FBR and, depending on the province, PRA in Punjab or SRB in Sindh. In Saudi Arabia, ZATCA runs e-invoicing in phases; Phase 2 is the Integration phase, where invoices are sent to ZATCA. Rules and deadlines change, so confirm current requirements with the authority or your tax adviser.
- Languages. Gulf customers often expect an Arabic right-to-left storefront and menu.
- Currency and payments. Check that the system prices and takes payments in the currency you use, and ask each vendor how card payments work in your country.
- Support hours. A vendor in another time zone may not be available during your service peak.
- Local presence. Some vendors have regional offices and local certifications. Others serve the region remotely.
For the Pakistan side in more depth, read the best restaurant management software in Pakistan guide and the FBR POS integration guide. For Saudi Arabia, see the ZATCA Phase 2 guide.
The criteria that matter
- Live tax integration in your country. Ask for proof that it is live, not planned. For Saudi Arabia, ask about ZATCA Phase 2 status.
- Total price. Include app fees, add-ons, per-order fees and daily caps. Many Gulf vendors price per branch or per terminal; ask for a written quote.
- Delivery. Ordering website, customer app, rider management and aggregator orders in one list.
- Multi-branch control. Roles, central menu and reporting across branches and countries.
- Arabic support. Storefront and receipts in Arabic if your customers need them.
- Scale and track record. How many branches the vendor serves, and whether that number is published.
The vendors, from their own claims
Everything here is what each vendor says on its own site, checked 25 October 2026, and is not independently verified. Confirm details, certifications and prices with the vendor.
Foodics. A Gulf-focused restaurant platform based around Saudi Arabia. It claims more than 33,500 branches and advertises ZATCA certification. Best for a Saudi or Gulf restaurant that needs a long-established system with ZATCA already live. See RestroAI vs Foodics.
Sapaad. A restaurant software vendor serving Saudi Arabia and the UAE that lists ZATCA support among its capabilities. Best for Gulf restaurants and chains comparing regional vendors. Ask Sapaad for pricing and the status of its ZATCA integration.
PosBytz. A POS vendor serving the Gulf that lists ZATCA support. Best considered alongside other regional vendors. Ask for pricing and ZATCA status in writing.
ALZERP. Serves Saudi Arabia and the UAE and lists ZATCA support. Best for businesses that want an ERP-style system alongside the POS. Ask for pricing and the status of the ZATCA integration.
Foodnerd. Operates in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the US, claims over 1,000 restaurants, and advertises FBR, PRA, Foodpanda, Urdu and ZATCA. USD 34.99 to 74.99 a month with daily order caps and add-ons. Best when you want one vendor across Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. See RestroAI vs Foodnerd.
EloERP. Operates in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Malaysia, advertises FBR and ZATCA, and Foodpanda payout reconciliation. Best for multi-country operators wanting back-office control. Ask for pricing.
Oscar POS. A Pakistan POS with a free POS and card machine and FBR and SRB advertised. Pakistan only, as far as its site states. See RestroAI vs Oscar POS.
Where RestroAI fits, and where it does not yet
RestroAI is built in Lahore and serves Pakistan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait. A branch costs PKR 15,000 a month with every feature: POS, kitchen display, an ordering website on your own domain, an Android customer app, rider and delivery management, inventory, multi-branch roles, a WhatsApp ordering agent and Foodpanda orders with menu and order-status sync. The storefront supports Arabic right-to-left. There is no setup fee and no commission on orders. See RestroAI in Saudi Arabia and in the UAE.
There is no published SAR or AED price. The base price is PKR 15,000 per branch per month, and you can ask us for a quote in your currency. Support runs Monday to Saturday, 9am to 9pm PKT, from Lahore.
RestroAI's ZATCA, FBR, PRA and SRB integrations are not live yet. They are on the roadmap. If your outlet must issue ZATCA Phase 2 invoices today, RestroAI is not the right choice yet. Ask us for the timeline before you sign up.
Where others are stronger

- Scale in the Gulf. Foodics claims more than 33,500 branches. RestroAI does not publish a merchant count.
- Free entry in Pakistan. Oscar POS is a free POS.

Choosing in practice
- You must issue ZATCA Phase 2 invoices now: shortlist vendors with live ZATCA integration, and ask for evidence.
- You are in Pakistan and need FBR, PRA or SRB now: shortlist vendors with live integration for your province.
- You deliver, want your own website and app, and want one predictable bill: price a complete system for a full year. RestroAI is built for this and is the lowest price we found for a complete system, though not the cheapest software.
- You run in both regions: check each country's tax integration separately. One vendor may be live in one and not the other.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best restaurant POS for Pakistan and the GCC?
There is no single best. Foodics, Sapaad, PosBytz and ALZERP advertise ZATCA support for the Gulf, Foodnerd and EloERP advertise both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and Oscar POS is a free option for Pakistan. RestroAI by Taiz offers a complete system at PKR 15,000 per branch per month, but its tax integrations are not live yet.
Does RestroAI support ZATCA e-invoicing?
Not yet. RestroAI's ZATCA integration is on the roadmap and not live, and we do not call it ZATCA approved or compliant. If your restaurant must issue ZATCA Phase 2 invoices now, choose a vendor with live integration or ask us for the timeline before you sign up.
Does RestroAI work in Saudi Arabia and the UAE?
Yes, RestroAI serves Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Pakistan, with an Arabic right-to-left storefront. There is no published SAR or AED price: the base price is PKR 15,000 per branch per month, and you can ask for a quote in your currency.
What is ZATCA Phase 2 for restaurants?
ZATCA is Saudi Arabia's tax authority. Phase 2, the Integration phase of its e-invoicing rules, requires approved systems to generate e-invoices and send them to ZATCA. Deadlines apply in waves, so confirm your obligations and dates with ZATCA or your tax adviser.
Is Foodics better than RestroAI?
For Saudi restaurants that need live ZATCA integration today, Foodics is stronger: it advertises ZATCA certification and claims more than 33,500 branches, per its own site. RestroAI is stronger for restaurants that want a complete system with website, app and riders at one flat price, and can wait for tax integration.
How much does RestroAI cost in the Gulf?
The base price is PKR 15,000 per branch per month with every feature, and no setup fee or commission on orders. There is no published SAR or AED price, so ask for a quote in your currency. Hardware is billed separately.
