If you run restaurants in Saudi Arabia or the wider Gulf, you have almost certainly heard of Foodics. If you run them in Pakistan, you may have heard it too, because Foodics now has a general manager for Pakistan. This post compares it with RestroAI by Taiz, a restaurant platform built in Lahore. We start with where Foodics is clearly stronger, because that is what a buyer needs to know first. Everything we say about Foodics comes from its own public pages and was not independently verified.
Where Foodics is stronger
Foodics is a much larger company. It claims more than 33,500 branches on its platform, built up over years of operating in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf. RestroAI has no comparable footprint, and we do not publish merchant counts because we would rather say nothing than inflate a number.
The second difference is tax compliance. Foodics describes itself as ZATCA certified, which matters if your restaurant is in Saudi Arabia and falls under e-invoicing. What RestroAI is built around
RestroAI is built for an owner who wants the whole restaurant stack from one vendor and one bill. The single price per branch covers the POS, a kitchen display, your own branded ordering website on your domain, an Android customer app, rider and delivery management, and a WhatsApp order channel with an AI ordering agent. Foodpanda orders arrive in the same order list, with menu and order-status sync, so staff work from one screen.
It is also built in Lahore by a team that sells and supports in Pakistan, with support Monday to Saturday, 9am to 9pm PKT. Pakistani cash-on-delivery, rider handover and Foodpanda-heavy ordering are the starting point of the product, not an adaptation. It also serves the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, and the storefront supports Arabic right-to-left.

Where the table says "check", we have not verified the detail and will not guess. Ask Foodics for a written list of what each plan includes, which is the same thing you should ask any vendor.
Price: what we can and cannot say
RestroAI costs PKR 15,000 per branch per month with every feature included: 1 POS terminal, 1 KDS screen, 3 riders and 5 order takers. There is no setup fee and no commission. Extra capacity is priced openly.

- Write down the channels you sell through: dine-in, takeaway, delivery, your own website, WhatsApp, aggregators.
- Ask each vendor, in writing, which of those are in the quoted price and which are add-ons.
- Ask about per-order fees, order caps, user limits and setup fees.
- Ask what tax compliance is live today, not planned.
