Where RestroAI stands on FBR today
Not live yet: RestroAI has no direct integration with FBR. It is on the roadmap. If FBR integration is a requirement for your outlet, ask us for the timeline before you sign up at contact.
We would rather say this plainly than let you find out after you have moved your menu and trained your staff. Some vendors advertise live FBR integration for restaurants. If you are legally required to be integrated now, check their claims with FBR and choose accordingly.
What FBR asks of restaurants, in general terms
The Federal Board of Revenue runs a scheme in which certain retailers connect their point of sale to FBR so that invoices are reported and carry an FBR invoice number and QR code. Whether your restaurant is in scope depends on its category and on the tax authority that taxes restaurant services in your province.
In Punjab and Sindh, sales tax on restaurant services is collected by the provincial authorities, the Punjab Revenue Authority and the Sindh Revenue Board. See our guides to PRA and SRB. Rules, categories and deadlines change, so confirm what applies to you with FBR or your tax adviser. We do not quote rates or dates here on purpose.

What RestroAI does today

None of this makes RestroAI an FBR-approved system. It gives your accountant clean records and a receipt that is ready for a QR code.
What a restaurant should do now
- Ask FBR, or your tax adviser, whether your outlet must be integrated and by when.
- Check which authority taxes your restaurant services: FBR, PRA in Punjab, or SRB in Sindh.
- If integration is mandatory for you today, pick a vendor that can show it working and put that in writing.
- If it is not, or you can wait, a complete system with clean sales records is a sound choice. Ask us where integration is on our roadmap.

Does my restaurant need an FBR integrated POS?
It depends on your outlet category and which authority taxes your services. Confirm with FBR or your tax adviser. In Punjab and Sindh, restaurant sales tax is handled by PRA and SRB respectively.
Can RestroAI print the FBR QR code on receipts?
Receipts reserve space for an FBR invoice QR code. Without a live integration, RestroAI does not fetch an invoice number from FBR for you.
What records does RestroAI give my accountant?
Terminal sessions, Z reports and sales records from the POS. Your tax filer can use them for returns. Confirm the format they need with them.
Which vendors advertise FBR integration?
Several Pakistani POS vendors, including Oscar POS and CornPOS, advertise FBR integration on their own sites. We have not independently verified those claims, so check with FBR and the vendor.
